THE AACP STUDENT PROGRAM
Students enrolled in accredited perfusion schools can become members of The Academy. The student receives all of the regular benefits of membership with online access to the academic journal Perfusion throughout their tenure as a student member. Applications must be accompanied by a letter from the program director verifying student status and expected date of graduation.

BENEFITS OF BECOMING A STUDENT MEMBER
Academy members are known for creating a welcoming environment for future perfusionists. One of the greatest features of the annual meeting are the student-run, student-only forums that allow students a unique environment in which to collaborate and connect.

MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the AACP Student Ambassador Program is to collaborate closely with members of The Academy in order to promote student participation in this particular professional perfusion organization. Through this collaboration, the students will be guided in the areas of perfusion related research and education. To achieve these objectives, the AACP will encourage students to attend national meetings, present original research, participate in educational programs, to serve in organizational committees, and to join the mentorship program.

Miranda Fleishhacker
Class of 2025: Senior Ambassador
"My favorite thing about Midwestern was the friendships I made so quickly. I feel like in an intensive school situation people bond really quickly. I'm actually a bridesmaid for one of my classmates for her wedding this summer! Midwestern is also amazing about giving you a ton of hands-on pump time."

Miranda is from Denver, Colorado. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and hot yoga. When Miranda has free time from class and clinical, she will decompress by trying new restaurants and breweries. Miranda also has a big fluffy dog named Melvin who makes her world go round.

"The thing I enjoy most about SUNY is the community feel of the school as well as how much time we spend in simulation lab prior to going into our clinical year. I truly felt prepared to make that step into pumping real cases having pumped simulated cases most days in Syracuse." - Luke
"My favorite part of SUNY is the welcoming and close feeling of the students and faculty Initially it's easy to not like Syracuse: It's always raining and cloudy! But it's the people that make the place. One semester in and I've made friendships I believe will last a lifetime. The complete access to the impressive high fidelity simulation lab is just the cherry on top! Happy to be here!" - AnnMarie
